When I heard that Sara from Made by Sara was putting together the first Japanese Sewing book blog tour and sewing week, I signed up right away! I recently won some children’s Japanese sewing books and this was the perfect time to sew up some of the patterns I’ve been eyeing.
June is Nani Iro Month over at Miss Matatabi. For me this was the perfect excuse to finally buy some Japanese fabric that I’ve been ogling over forever! I must admit this past week was a really good sewing week. I was for once not pumping out a new design, testing it till no end. I seriously almost always make 5-10 versions of each new design and by the end of the process I’m so sick of it and can practically sew it with my eyes closed! So this week I took a break from design and sewed for fun…and I was lucky enough that the girls weren’t sick and were behaving themselves enough to let me sew
In addition to everything else going on this past month, I also had the chance to test the LOL Swing top (affiliate link). From the moment I saw Jenn from Jennuine Design working on this pattern, I knew I had to have it! It’s everything my girls love in a top… the perfect amount of girlyness in the swing, comfort and wearability for their active lifestyle and super stylish race back design!
