Chilly weather is rolling in and the Basic Tee Pattern was just what we needed to layer under some of our favorite sleeveless patterns. I decided to sew one of my favorite summer patterns, the City Girl Romper. The sunsuit version is perfect for hot days but I love the pant version as a transitional romper during the fall. Here in Chicago we can still get away without wearing a coat in the afternoon so today I took advantage of a slightly brisk yet beautiful day to take Abby on a little stroll after school at a nearby park. I used a light weight mustard twill for the romper and a beautiful floral French Terry knit I’ve been hoarding for over a year for the basic tee.
I got a couple good shots before the wind picked up and her hair started to blow all over the place…luckily I was prepared with a set up fuzzy ear muffs! Don't let the greenery and sun deceive you!! She was so cold but was a trooper for these pictures.
Pockets! Perfect for little treasures and keeping hands warm
I love these ear muffs. They were so quick to make, super fashionable and definitely came in handy today!!
